Airlie Beach Lagoon

Hours of Operation 

Summer (September to May) - 5.30am to 9.00pm daily

Winter (June to August) - 5.30am to 7.00pm daily

The Airlie Beach Lagoon is absolute recreation and leisure paradise! The facility sits on 4,300sqm of land on the foreshore of Airlie Beach and holds whopping 4.5 million litres of fresh, self-chlorinated water.

The lagoon includes a sheltered wading pool for toddlers, a shallow 1.5 metre maximum depth children's pool and a larger pool which has a maximum depth of 2 metres with separate swimming lanes for fitness enthusiasts. It is built on a raised breakwater, giving an excellent view out to the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands! 

Facilities include toilets, outdoor showers, cool bottle refill station, baby change table, change rooms and an accessible toilet/ change room.  

The lagoon also features an access chair lift. Please see one of the lifeguards should you require assistance to enter/ exit the water.  

Team PRG currently provides the lifeguard services and the maintenance services for the Airlie Beach Lagoon.
